"The Trumpet Repertoire Project"
  • This commissioning project is designed to create new works for undergraduate level students that reflect the goals and purpose of the Paris Conservatory's "Concour" Pieces. The compositions will present the voices of four young American composers, and will follow a format that will enable each piece to be easily used at academic performances (i.e. juries, convocations, and continuations exams).
  • Each work will present a format of the composer's choosing, but will fit within the performing standards of typical undergraduate students. The pieces will contain various technical elements that will provide practical refinement in skill, but also present elements that will allow for development of musical expression.

                                                                                             More about the project:

  • Detailed information is presented about the audition process, passing through military screening, Basic Combat Training for each branch, and what the core mission is for each ensemble within the Military District of Washington (MDW) and the grass roots of America.
